Our Story

Qiana Rae, CEO of Blessed Strands, LLC, has always been fascinated with all types of hair, first experimenting on her Barbie dolls before she was old enough to realize that once she cut their hair, it wasn't going to grow back, no matter how many different hair products she snuck from her mom's stash, who was a cosmetologist at that time.

As Qiana came into her adolescent years, she became obsessed with cutting her own long locs and finding the right combination of products and regimen to grow it back as quickly and healthy as possible. Everyone who knew her knew that this was a new routine for her and were never shocked when they would see her coming with a new haircut, only to grow it back and cut it once again.

She mastered the art of protective styles, low maintenance, moisturizing and sealing, amongst a number of other different beneficial tactics that could possibly help others to achieve the healthy hair growth that they desired. During her trial and error period, she found that the right oils were key to keeping the hair and scalp healthy, hydrated, moisturized, and stimulated. 

"Not all oils are created equal, especially if it's the wrong combination. If the wrong oils are mixed together, or the incorrect ratio of carrier oils to essential oils is used, it can actually harm, instead of help the hair, scalp, and hair follicles, so we must be careful about just putting any oils in our hair if we don't have the knowledge to know what works and what doesn't," she states. 

Blessed Strands comes from many years of of experimentation, experience, and research. Not only that, Qiana Rae, who is a licensed minister, personally prays over ever single bottle, trusting and believing that with faith, her product will make a difference in people's lives all over the world. That may sound extreme to some, but not to those who suffer from, or knows someone who has suffered from Alopecia or other hair or scalp conditions.
